In the first phase of the renovation of the ancient palace, it was necessary to demolish a small recently built wall. In this way a small well (still visible in the Hotel Hall) was discovered inside the building, certainly subservient to the water needs of those who had lived in that building over the centuries.

Aware of the importance that water has for man and mindful of the gratitude that our ancestors must have had for the "Pope Urban V", who decided to equip the square of St. Andrew with a well (1368) connected to the underground aqueduct. We wanted to give our hotel the name of those who left a tangible sign of their passage in Montefiascone.

The Urbano V Hotel, located in Montefiascone, a small town in ancient Tuscia, overlooking Lake Bolsena. Inserted in a territory that is the birthplace of Etruscan civilization and dotted with fortresses, castles and historic centers of the thirteenth century which are definitely worth seeing. The territory proposes archaeological itineraries, historical-artistic as well as wonderful days to spend in complete relax on the beaches and in the clear waters of Lake Bolsena.

Our hotel is located in a very quiet location and fits perfectly into the architectural context of the historic center of Montefiascone, the homeland of the famous wine Est! Est!! Est!!!. Finished to renovate in June 2002, it is one of the oldest buildings in town, inhabited since 1,300 by noble families and Popes. Once you enter the Hotel Urbano V you will notice the attentive eye of the owners, for the refinement of the furnishings. A place were every detail is taken care of with passion and where elegance and comfort are key, to make your stay pleasant, in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.

A terrace is available to customers where they can admire the most extraordinary panorama of Upper Lazio, from the Cimini hills across the great Etruscan plain to the Tyrrhenian Sea, Lake Bolsena and Monte Amiata to the north. For groups of at least 10 people, the management organizes, upon your request, an excursion with wine tasting, in a typical cellar of the area, and an excursion in a typical oil mill of the area.
